A substantial slab recovered from a buried Ancient Kauri stump in Northland. Timber from the same excavation site has been carbon-dated to approximately 45,000–50,000 years old; this is site-associated dating, not a direct test of this slab. Air-dried for more than 10 years, kiln-dried and CNC-flattened. Solid timber retaining one natural live edge. May be kept as a feature slab or cut into beams for custom furniture and specialist woodworking. Length 320 cm; width 27–48 cm; thickness 9 cm. Approximate weight 60 kg.
